Our National Standard school cycling courses give child trainees the skills they require to undertake journeys on today’s roads.

Our clients

Cycle Training Wales deliver National Standard Cycle Training in partnership with a large number of Welsh local authorities, including:

  • Bridgend County Borough Council
  • Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council
  • Vale of Glamorgan Council
  • City and County of Swansea
  • Carmarthenshire County Council
  • Monmouthshire County Council
  • Torfaen County Borough Council

Our instructors

Cycle Training Wales carefully recruits instructors who are enthusiastic cyclists and show the highest levels of professional competence. In particular, we strongly emphasize the need for excellent communication skills. All our instructors are fully-qualified as National Standard instructors, have first-aid training, and undergo enhanced DBS checks.

Service delivery

As part of our service, we implement all stages of the school training process: scheduling, initial contact with schools, pre-course information and parental consent, and post-course reports and certification.
