Many organizations and charities run programmes of regular cycle rides for members of their community. This course is intended to train staff or volunteers with the skills to act as ride leaders and ensure that a programme of rides is a success.
The course includes all key aspects of how to make rides successful, including:
- choosing a good base location
- what to consider when planning a ride
- assessing client ability and health
- matching bikes to clients
- using safety equipment
- trail-side bike maintenance
- managing emergencies
Candidates will be assessed through practical activities and through a written workbook.
This course can either be run at our training centre in Cardiff , or, if you have minimum of three trainees, we can come and train at a location of your choosing.
This course is an Agored Cymru Level 2 course.
